Have you guys seen this? It's ChangE - my new favourite colour change:
http://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic-d....../ChangE/ It looks fantastic. You just swivel a card around and it instantly changes. The angles are surprisingly good and I picked it up really quickly. If anyone knows of anything else by Tony Chang, let me know! |

Wow! I loved this demo clip, he showed a whole bunch of effects! The change itself wasn't so impressive to me (too much angles and obvious steal) but his short routines were great!!

Visual! Not too sure about the angles being too friendly though... but I'm sure there'll be a place for it.
Reminds me of something I saw Aaron Fisher demonstrating at a convention 2 or 3 years back.

Derren Brown does something like this in his Devil's Picture Book. He credits Lennart Green. It's called the Windmill Change. He also does another change that is very similar to this and also credits Lennart Green for it.

While not too angle-friendly, this color change is fun as heck to practice

Thanks for the kind words. Ironically I would say that this change looks better in real life than on video. Usually now a days color changes only look good on video. I personally love the change because it has the perfect blend of being a great visual color change but also the method is hard for all you move monkeys out there.
Here is me performing it in a context of a simple trick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvkOEUD7O5c Feel free to PM me or email me of any questions about the change, or any tips. -Tony C. |

Well executed, however, I hope he is not claiming originality for the move.

Funny thing is, I had been playing with the main part of the move in other areas for a month or 2 so the learning curve will be a bit easier in that regard! IMO there are many applications for this and I see it as a great add to my arsenal! MMc |

I am only guessing but it appears that there is some needed clean-up afterward.
I am getting so tired of slitting the throats of people who say that I am a violent psychopath.

It doesn't look natural to me. I can tell there's a get ready and the hands looks very "cozy" before he goes back to the card to change it.

Not only that this seem very angly in the real world, although on video looks very cool

It is angle sensitive but easily managed and the get ready is easily overcome! I've got a couple hours in on it now and both of those concerns a diminishing!

The demo definitely fooled me. I thought that the action was a bit cramped but after the change it is clean. Very nice. Ok, I will probably buy this (I hate buying downloads). If I really hate it, it is on you Mickey!... Look forward to learning the routines.

It looks good on video- it looks BETTER in person.
I brought about a dozen friends, non-magician's, to Josh Jay's place in NY, and Tony was there. We were all doing magic for the lay folk (and a pantless sword swallow... weird) and Tony busted this out. Suffice to say it looked great and everyone was blown away. I got the download but haven't watched it yet (due to school concerns). What I can say is the change looks great in person. Ben
