Has anyone done a DVDs on Marlo's Revolutionary Card Technique series? Or is anyone planning on doing so? I, for one, would like to see how some of the stuff looks and would play in real-world performing circumstances.

That would be cool and I would like to see Jimmy Cards Molinari do it.

Supposedly, Bill Malone was planning such a project, but who knows. It's so very huge, and so very demanding. I'm not sure such a project is even possible.

Sure it's possible. One DVD for each chapter. The book isn't *that* big.

If my memory serves me correctly, you can find the majority of the false dealing section from RCT in Marlo's Seconds, Centers, and Bottoms VHS. I'm not sure if it has been converted to DVD.
I would like to see the practicality of some of the card switches myself.

It is on a series of DVD's (VHS before that) that were put out by Randy Wakeman and Jon Racherbaumer.
Private Studies Prime Time Marlo Seconds, Centers and Bottoms Confidential It is not totally every technique from the RCT series but you can see how much of it looks in play and hear Marlo explaining things which is excellent. I think some of them are now available on DVD but I have them on VHS so didn't buy any of the DVD's. There are more titles also but I cannot remember them at this time and they are put away at the moment. Mobius |

I'm of the personal opinion that any sort of video catalog of the techniques in something as large as Revolutionary Card Technique would need to either be filmed over a relatively long period of time, or by a group of people. There's too much material in RCT for one person to be up on everything. |

Ed Marlo was also filmed performing in France on several VHS produced by Pierre Mayers with Radio Prim, one of them covering non card technique (ring on stick etc...).
I share the point of view that whoever would produce Marlo's Revolutionary Card Technique should find different performers currently using Ed Marlo's techniques in their card act. Such magicians could be more lively performers than the late Master himself. For some chapters, it would be easy as certain Marlo's technical explorations have been widely covered and put into practice (like dealing cards, estimations...). Naturally names like Jon Racherbaumer come to mind but also Bill Kalush, Ricky Jay... For some other chapters however, it would be more challenging to find proper performers. Many years ago before Ed Marlo passed away, I went to Chicago to negotiate, with the help of Andy Greget, the purchase of all his manucripts (and there were a huge amount) as I wanted to edit fac simile of all of them as "Malro annotated by Marlo". The manuscripts were very interesting for Ed Marlo had been taking a lot of hand written notes on his own published work. Half way through our negotiation, for personal reasons, Ed Marlo sold the originals covering RCT separately to (if I remember correctly) Percy Diaconis for a much smaller price than the substantial amount I had offered. He still had a lot more to offer but the loss of the central pillar had made the transaction much less attractive for me and I dropped it. Thus if someone undertakes such a project, he may be well advised to trace these manuscripts. I'm sure that Jon Racherbaumer as well as Andy Greget know a lot about what went where. I'd be willing to help financing such an interesting tribute (and tool for future generations) but I think that people like L&L would probably be better placed to stand at the heart of it.
