I Just bought a new purple hand pump and realize that I pump so much faster and easier with it then my old one. The new one has all that oil on it that makes it slick and easy to pump. I want that feeling on my old purple pump as well.
I guess what I'm trying to ask is... is the stuff that makes a new pump so slick ,the same type of oil that stops a squeaky door? If so I can just buy it at a hardware shop right? Thanks |

I use "gunslick" lubricant as it does not break the rubber seal down.

Powered graphite might also work.

How about silicone spray? Meyers sold a liquid that was used to lubricate their floor pumps.
