For those who are in churches that use the Lectionary to preach and teach from, I would be interested in talking about effects that could be related. Perhaps a weekly brain-storm post on the scriptures for the up and coming week.

Anyone interested?

At the risk of sounding un-smart (my politically correct term for stupid) what is a lectionary?

Thanks for asking the question.

The lectionary is basically a set of Three - One year cycles (A, B and C) which assign scripture readings for each Sunday throughout the year for use in worship.

Some churches pick texts Sunday by Sunday and some churches (Such as Lutheran, which I am or Episcopal, Catholic, to name a few) use the lectionary. Thus, any church that uses the Lectionary will be using the same (if not similar) texts for worship.
