It's near my hometown. Foster City isn't exactly SF, and the bay area is pretty big without a car. Although now that I think about it, I may just catch the airport shuttle rather than rent the car -that'll save me a hundred bucks or so.
Still, I do like the freedom to get the heck outta there if I want to, also I might want to go to the Golfland in Sunnyvale while I'm in the south bay! Woo... Mini-golf! Any takers?

My brother and both sisters lived in SF at one time or another and I couldn't understand why they didn't have automobiles..... until I went to visit! Getting around by car is easier on the legs but finding parking is INSANE!
The last time I was there I went to Misdirections and was able to snag a parking place right in front of the shop but do you know what it's like to try parallel park a 1/2 ton truck on those narrow streets between a bunch of mini hybrids! LOL |

It's hard to believe it's so close and that everything has come together so nicely. Just a couple of weeks ago we were scrambling to get everything handled but it looks to be shaping up to be the best one yet. We've got some stuff to give to the attendees, we've got more lecturers than ever, we've got the late night session room and Byron Walker will be there to cater to the exotic book lover.
