I'm thinking of getting one of the available dice routines. I've seen the one performed by Reed McClintock (The Ivory Connection). I find it cool. I haven't actually seen other routines. Which one should I get?
Thanks a lot |

The Ivory Connection is the first and only dice routine I have done. It was easy to learn and memorise and gets a good response. I would recommend it but would be interested to see what other people think as well.

Get the Bob Sheets dice routine "It's The Rules". None of the other routines can touch it. If you want the traditional Sacks routine, get the Jim Lewis tape and avoid the other stuff out there.

Yeah, The Ivory Connection is one of the best tricks that I've added to my show after 17 years.

I like The Ivory Connection as well as Carl Andrews' handling if the Sacks routine. Andrews' version is called Pair o' Dice and can be found on his video No Jacket Required.

Is the Bob Sheet's routine similar in handling to Ivory Connection?

I haven't seen The Ivory Connection, but I've seen It's the Rules and will agree that it is a fantastic effect. I think the adding numbers phase go on a bit but the ending phases are great.
Adam V - 9 out of 10 dentists recommend him.

Just received The Ivory Connection video yesterday.
Truly great effect with non-gimmicked dice and well worth spending the time perfecting the handling. The routine is genuinely magical as opposed to what could have been a mere puzzle presentation.

There are some other very good sources for dice routines .
"Doctor Sacks amazing Dice trick" by James Lewis an excellent video. also Steve Druan" on dice" is excellent if you want to see a routine on dice stacking then theres a video called The "art of Dice Stacking" by Zachary hope this adds to the already mentioned resources vinny |

1) Sacks Dice Routine (Bruce Elliot book)
2) Vernon Dice Climax (Vernon Book of Magic) 3) Charlie Miller routines for 2 in hand 1 in pocket (Magicana) 4) Audley Walsh Dice Tricks Pamphlet 5) Marlo - Shoot the Works 6) Senator Crandall - Dice stacking 7) Jim Zee material on stacking 8) Paul Green offers "Millers Dice" an effect by Charlie Miller How about a Matrix with dice (Stars of Magic, Bey's routine, for instance). There are lots of commercial effects for sale in the magic shops or at least there used to be: 1) Spots appear and disappear visually on a single black die (Lublr Fiedler if I remember correctly) 2) a bunch of dice are stacked and they revolve with no apparent mechanism (Dancing Dice, Spooky Dice) 3) Irv Wiener - Soft Dice routine 4) Heath's Die-cyphering 5) Audley Walsh's "Crooked Dice" Also effects by RW Hull, a Tannen effect with the dice penetrating a sealed glass jar, a prediction effect, a mindreading effect like color vision, miniature die box, color changing dice, linking dice(!), etc. There are tons of individual things in magazines (Pallbearers had several great things!) and books that are not exclusively on dice - I have culled many of these for my files - this is just off the top of my head. I have a whole other file of dice effects and a couple boxes of dice tricks, but not here in my office! I can list some other things if you are interested - post or PM me and I'll do the research if you are really interested... Best, PSC

Does anyone know where I can get hold of It's the Rules? Is it only available at Dennys?
I'm in the UK but don't think I can get it over here. Thanks Graham |
