Could you pls tell me what drives the number of posts under a user's name?

I have posted a number of times (and not just today), but still show as only 1 post.

Just wondered.

The post count is increased when a legitimate post is made. There are forums such as the Let's make a deal, new arrivals, it's not magic but for example that are not counted as legitimate.

If you post more than once under a given topic does it only give you one credit after review? I have also posted and immediately been increased in posting total, only to have it reduced at a later date. Thanks.

Each post under a topic is counted as a separate post. So if you post 3 times for example under a topic, your post count would increase by 3.

The post count can decrease for a number of reasons. If a thread by another member is deleted for any reason, your post count goes down. If a thead is in the wrong forum and gets moved to an area not considered a counted forum such as Let's make a deal, that will also reduce your count.

We try to consolidate posts if they are consecutive. If you post once and then send a second post before anyone replys to the first, we would combine your two messages into one which will reduce your total post count.
