But anyway, here's another viewpoint: Whenever anyone, scientist or layman set out to do something that has not been done before, there ALWAYS has to be a starting point of "I believe I (we) can do this. I (we) just haven't figured out how yet"
belief and blind faith are indispensable in accomplishing the "impossible"
And exactly what is "impossible"? Simply ANYTHING that man has not done before!
Ahhhhhh, but after someone finally accomplishes it, it instantly CEASES being impossible!
(That's usually the point where everyone else jumps on the bandwagon, if there is money involved.)

"Negative Energy" sounds a lot like anti-matter and that bubble they're talking about sounds a lot like a warp field. See? Star Trek knew what they were talking about ages ago. Combine matter with anti-matter in a matter fusion chamber, make sure you've got your warp field up and let'er rip... Gawd, I'm such a geek.
