That's true and it works quite well unless you move around a lot. At a closer range, the bent loop does tend to be noticeable as a crimp in your jacket. Using Peter's or Dan's loop holders eliminates the possibility of the loop coming off the lapel. I dress in a black shirt and with Peter's and Dan's holders, I don't even need to bend the loop. It just comes out from under the jacket and sits where I want it, no matter how much I move around.
