I've just acquired this, and love it.
In the manuscript that comes with it, there's a page and half of "suggested patter", in which you waffle on (and on) about ancient Indian myths, latent psycho-sexual powers, the Goddess Kundalini, Hindu miracles called "siddihs"...and I'm only halfway through here and you haven't even brought out the cards yet. Well, this might work fine for Jeff McBride, but not for me. At the end of the manuscript, there's a note: "It is important that, when presenting this effect, it is NOT presented as a "card trick"..." So - who presents it as a card trick? |

This is the effect I usually use to convert my spectators (I have a place in Waco). That or the sponge bunnies.

Could also be used as a variant to the virgin detector.

You might also want to check out David Britland's Angel Card Rise, which Martin Breese may still stock. It came out earlier, is remarkably similar in method, and you don't have to read about Indian myths.

I've always presented it as a card trick, albeit a great one. I don't use the provided gimmick the way it is used in Kundalini Rising. I use the gimmick the way Henry Evans invented, w/ some touches of my own. This way, the cards are completely examinable at the end of the routine. There isn't anything to steal away. You can perform it completely surrounded. AND its ALL done in the spectator's hands.

When you think about the fact that this is done in the spectators hand, it shouldn't be to hard to come up with an interesting script. Keep in mind you can use any type of cards you want. Tarot cards for example. There may be a back design that lends itself to an interesting story.
I've done this where I put a large plastic bag over the persons hand and secured.
