Hi kids. I left my powercord for the iCue / Virtual Soundman at my last job. Need to go to Radio Shack, but the manual is lacking in specifics. Can anybody out there tell me what do I need to ask for at the Store?
this is what it says in the manual... you can see why I need your help. OPERATING VOLTAGE The iCue Squared base unit uses 9 VDC @500mAmp in normal operation. 12 VDC @1000 mAmp maximum volts when hooked up to the iPod and when using one or both of the companion displays. The iPod draws power from this 12-volt supply for charging and can operate the iPod when charging at the same time. The iCue squared is equipped with a regulated power supply that is micro controlled in order to regulate the charging amperage to the iPods without damage to the iPod, regardless of which model iPod you are using. The power supply can be a battery pack, or a plug in power supply adapter that MUST BE a linear – regulated power supply. Overseas power supplies may use an adapter rated from a 220 VAC supply, but must convert the output supply to the same specification listed above. The connector plug configuration is a 2.1×5.5 tip positive. If you do not apply these specifications and utilize a higher-powered supply, you will damage the iCue and void the warranty.
