I can only join the chorus of elated comments regarding the Revolution ring flight. I have been using this since it arrived and it has been flawless every step of the way. I have the Toyota key as I figured it was more common looking in the US. The additional keys supplied make this perfect to hit the ground running. As you have read, Dave supplies a wide variety of clips for which to choose from for personal preference. I've been very happy with the S-biner as it has been the easiest and quietest hook up for me ... my audiences still gasp every time. String length has always been a constraining problem for me with other products, but this has ample length to perform very comfortably. My order was received promptly and with Dave's personal guarantee and attention, you can't go wrong. This really is a perfect prop and easily worth every penny.

Christian --
I ended up doing the same thing with my clip -- switching the larger one for the smaller. And I think your idea for the larger clip (attaching a BMW tag) is great. The large key Dave provides is easy to grab and dangle the keys from, but it does look a bit old fashioned. Not a big problem, but I like your approach, so thanks! RFR is a truly great product. Jerry,
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the large key Dave provides may also be considered much more commonplace in areas such as the UK etc. Glad you could use the idea of attaching a dealership tag! The one I found is a nice big stainless one with a leather strap/loop that I attach to Dave's larger clip. Very classy looking. This provides a no-fail, effortless grab each time of the set from the pocket. Good flying to all! Christian |

A quick question : isn't't there a risk of damaging the ring (by that I mean scratching) when it comes from your hand to the keys?
With the case version (which I do find old-fashioned), at least it was protected by the leather when arriving on the case (well, with the one I have - El Duco's - ...). Here the ring arrives among the keys... Any thoughts? Did someone have any issue? Looks a great item, but wow it's not inexpensive...

Hi Ben,
There's no chance of damaging the ring, the pull isn't traveling that fast and the pocket cushions any impact. I've been performing this 10-20 times a night, 3-4 nights a week for 5 years and never had the slightest damage. Nor has anyone else I know who uses it. Rings take a lot more abuse, wear and tear during everyday use. Yes it's expensive, but these are genuine car keys, which are not cheap in themselves, you'll pay $100 just for a normal key. Plus each one is hand made not mass factory produced and takes between 3 and 4 hours to make depending on the key. The RFR will last you for many, many years. and you also get a 2 year warranty with it. That's worth the price alone, you won't get that with any other magic item. If this was sold through a dealer, the retail price would be well over $200 each. That's why I only sell it through the website. Regards Dave Bonsall http://www.ringflightrevolution.com |

I agree with everything Dave said except for one thing: I offer a lifetime guarantee with my Table Hopper's Friend (shameless plug!).
Christian, I think your idea of using the tag is great, and I plan to use it. Ben, At least in my experience, the ring stops at the top of the pocket and so never actually hits the keys on the fly, so damage isn't an issue. As to price, well, I've paid more than half as much for versions that weren't nearly half as good!

Thanks for your answer Dave!
I may consider one when I have the cash for it, it does seem to be a nice item and I like the fact that it uses a modern key chain. Regards, Ben

My ring flight revolution is on my real keys with the other house and car keys - it look 100% natural - because it is. I had to play around with it so that the real keys didn't get in the flight path - but now its sorted I have it with me all the time.
Today I got sent a few pics from a private dinner party I did @ a house in London last month - I've upload the ones of the Ring flight performance if anyone is interested to see. http://www.flickr.com/photos/14692572@N02/ |

Dave,
To be fair, the THF is built like a tank and not mechanical. If I were offering something like your RFR, I certainly wouldn't be able to do it.

This does look amazing. Like most, I've used Rinkey Dinkey. Cut my finger open and had stitches trying to repair it after it broke. Then moved onto Departure which broke after a couple of months. A free replacement was given; broke again. RFR looks the way to go. Just got to save the dosh! Good shizzle Mr Dave.

The Ring Flight Revolution is the best and innocent looking ring flight, I've ever had. The service of Dave is outstanding!!!
Posted: Feb 24, 2010 2:31am I've had mine shipped with a VW logo. I'm driving a Skoda. Emailed Dave. A few days later, he sent me the Skoda logo. FOR FREE! That's a great service! |

Anyone thinking of ordering this, Dave is currently offering a 'group buy' discount.
If 5 people buy it, they each get £10 off. If 10 people buy it, they each get £15 off. If 20+ people buy it, they each get £20 off. It's happening over at the Magic Bunny. There are four names already on the list, so if you want to be part of it, you're guaranteed a £10 discount. Any takers? |

Just Purchased the RFR after I couldn't stand trying out more and more. First key case... Weird. Then rinkey dinky... Ending up in hospital. Then to depature... broke then replaced but then broke again. Then Pro-flit... reliable, nice effect but not practical enough so now I look to RFR. Looks to be the ULTIMATE Ring flight. I think eventually, any magician who uses Ring Flight often will change over to Dave's versions. It just look Worth it!

A word of advice to all owners of RFR, be sure to check the split ring that attaches the clip before you perform. I went to use it table hopping last night, I borrowed the ring, did the set up and while I'm showing the ring on my finger, it came off the line and I ended up with the ring on my finger attached to the clip.
I detached it and said that I couldn't do what I was planning with that type of ring(I had just done a ring off shoelaces), I just put the clip away & finished my set. I didn't get to put it back together until later, not a big deal. It's a fantastic item, all my fellow magicians were loving it(as I do). Looking forward to using it tonight. ![]() Mike |

I have been interested in ring flights for some time, but always disliked the leather key pouch. When other key fob types came out, they just looked too fake. I finally bought RFR and it rocks. I have gotten huge reactions and carry it with me everywhere. Great job.
