I picked up a pound of #19 rubber bands at Staples. I don't remember how much it cost, but it was certainly less than $10. If I store them properly, I won't need to buy rubber bands for the rest of my life, perhaps longer.

Yes, that too. People should really start using search engines more. Especially when the answer is so common sense.

The problem with Aero is the $200.00 minimum. Don't think anyone needs that many rubber bands. LOL

Always use fresh rubber bands when you perform and your performane will go much smoother. I also use #19's for most of my rubber band effects. Quote:

Your rubber bands will last longer if stored in an airtight container (you want to avoid ozone and other fumes), dark (ultra-violet light is not your friend), and cool (possibly cold, some actually freeze the rubber). It's an organic substance and deteriorates over time. These things don't stop the deterioration, but does slow it down a great deal.
I've got some 1995 vintage rubber that is still going strong.

Anyone happen to know any good sources that ship internationally?
I'm looking for high rubber content #19 translucent/natural/gold bands that stretch well. The biggest they sell here are #18 very tight ones. Alliance is a good brand, I have read. I'm sure there are others as well. I have found a couple of places but some charge up to $30 to ship 50 rubber bands and others have odd fishy shopping cart systems or bands that are very broad or multicolored. None of the office supplies stores seem to ship internationally unless you buy a crate. I figure that 50 will do me fine. If I have 100 I should be set for the next few years at least. As long as they are of high quality and mostly rubber for stretchiness and a semi-transparent look. I've actually spent 90 minutes on rubber band surfing without results so far. I think I draw the line at around $15 including shipping. These are not expensive items but I would feel stupid if I paid more for a few simple rubber bands. Well, maybe $20 total if they were good quality bands.

Noobini... Jeff Pierce Magic that I posted above ships international. Did you check them out? $5.95 for 500 bands is rather inexpensive.

Ron, I did see that thanks, but searched on for a different page as there is no mention of the size of these bands. Most other sites are very specific about that part.
I want to be certain that they are of the #19 length as the #18 I already have are too short for me. I'm sure not every factory use the same number system but that length which #19 represents seems about right for me.

The vegtable crisper drawer of my refrigerator is where I keep my rubber bands.
If they are breaking on you it is because you are useing them too long. Always be sure to have clean hands when performing with rubber bands.

Send me a PM with your address and I'll mail off a bunch of the bands that I got from Staples. I'm not actually going to count them, since that's a pain, but there should be a bunch.
