Marty, I don't think it's fair that you should suffer international shipping just because you are a nice guy and because I am cheap. Thank you but I will search some more!
Al, I thought rubber deteriorated more rapidly in a cold environment? Freezing at least can ruin rubber hands, or so I read yesterday. (Which I suppose could also be an issue in the world of international shipping.) I don't know what a vegetable crisper drawer is, (I barely know what a vegetable is), but I assume it isn't too cold. Ron, nice of you to email him! I simply didn't think of that possibility myself. That packet comes to $25.90 including shipping. Perhaps not a huge investment, but I will search a little more first to be sure.

Noobini, folks have done stuff for me on the Café, and I can return the favor, if you like. The only hitch is that you must do something for someone in the Magic Community in the future.
It may be that using rubber in a cold environment is a bad idea, but as far as storing things, I think it's okay. I've got several pounds of rubber in the freezer and they are doing fine.

I have several pounds of rubber bands in my vegetable crisper drawer, and I take a few out for every job. I never use the same rubber bands twice.
The vegetable crisper is the drawer that you store vegetables in your refrigerator.
