Hi Jeff,

I am an amateur magician living in the UK in my mid 50's and have just come back to magic in the last 18 months after a break of some 20 years !! I would like to improve my all round magical knowledge and expertise and the classes seem to be an ideal way to do this. Before treating myself I would like to know if you think that the classes would be suitable for me and how would I benefit as it appears that the classes may be more suited to pros than people like myself. Also if I decided to come with my wife are there any arrangements for partners.

Many thanks,

BARRY

Greetings Barry, and all...

Welcome back to the wonderful world of magic!

There are many of our students that share a similar story to yours. In fact, I was recently talking with officers at the International Brotherhood of Magicians, who shared some interesting data with me. I learned that most of the new members of the IBM are male, over forty, who are returning to magic after having an interest in it in their youth. Most of our students fall into this demographic, too! I am sure you will be delighted with how comfortable you will feel here at the School. Your wife will also be most welcome to attend many of the events. If your wife would like to participate more fully in the class, she could attend as your "assistant" for half the registration fee. Otherwise, she is still welcome to attend the opening night Las Vegas magic party, and join us for all of the Las Vegas shows that the class attends.

If your wife chooses not to attend the classes, that's ok, too. We've developed a teaching time table where our classes begin in the late morning, and finish up by 6pm in the evening, so you can have time to enjoy Las Vegas with her and see shows, go to restaurants and have a fun vacation with her.

The Master Class is an excellent way to re-enter the world of magic, to upgrade your skill set, update your working magical knowledge, and sharpen your techniques. You will get hands-on training from some of the top magic teachers in the world. It is a common misconception that the Master Classes are only for pro's. We do have a fair number of professional magicians that attend our classes, as well as people working on competition acts, but most of our students are people like you-- magic enthusiasts who are trying to take their magic to the next level of excellence.

Currently, spaces are filling up fast for the remaining classes this year. If you're serious about wanting to attend, I suggest you register soon to ensure your place.

I will look forward to seeing you, Barry, (and your wife) in Las Vegas!

Yours in creating magical experiences for magicians and their partners,

Jeff

PS Here is a list of great things to do in Las Vegas....

While the class is in session, there are lots of fun things to do in and around Las Vegas. Many of them are free!

1. BELLAGIO: See the Botanical Gardens located just past the Hotel Registration area. While there, take a look at the Chihuly glass art, and see the dancing Fountains located outside on the Strip in front of the Hotel.
2. BUFFETS: Eat at Wynn Las Vegas or Bellagio buffets. There are many others but these are special.
3. THE ETHEL M CHOCOLATE FACTORY AND CACTUS GARDEN: Located near the intersection of Sunset Way and Sunset Ave, less then 10 minutes from the school; free tours of the chocolate factory daily!
4. EXTERIORS: See the exteriors of the following hotels: Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Excalibur, New York-New York and Paris Las Vegas.
5. FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE: Downtown, see the light show at night.
6. SHOWS: Go to either Jubilee at Bally's to see a classic Vegas production show,
7. ATTRACTIONS: Forum Shops at Caesars, Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, The Volcano at the Mirage, The View from the top of the Stratosphere, and for the daring, the Roller Coaster at New York, New York!
8. STRIP: Drive down The Strip from Mandalay Bay to Fremont Street.
9. VENETIAN: See the fabulous, classic Hotel lobby. While there, be sure to see the Grand Canal Shoppes. a shopping mall with a canal running through!
10. ANY HOTEL: Have a spa day! Order room service, have a massage, relax by the pool and take it easy!

Or, take a little drive out of town, and check out Red Rock Canyon-- the scenic drive through is beautiful, any time of year. Mount Charleston has some great hiking and scenery. There is a labyrinth at the Catholic church in Boulder City. The Hoover Dam offers tours daily, on the Arizona border. The Valley of Fire is about an hour and half away; check out the petroglyphs and remains of ancient civilizations! There are so many fun shows in town; we highly recommend The World's Greatest Magic Show, at the Greek Isles Casino-- kids are free! Circus Circus has some fantastic circus acts performing throughout the day, for free!

Hi Mike,

Good to see you here, and thanks for the kind words.

We have many students like you who return every year to upgrade their skills and get renewed.

We are creating a school that is a higher learning facility that you could come to all year long! It is sort of like a "Magic Spa", where magicians can go an fill up again on wonder, mystery, and have fun learning great magic effects and business techniques to enrich their lives!!

Every time we do a class we collect the feedback forms that students like you fill out.

We listen, we learn and make changes and add new and exciting events to keep it fresh. It is NEVER the same class twice as you know.

Creating magical experiences for magicians,

Jeff

Hi Jeff!

Thanks for sharing your time with us.

Barry,

As an alumnus of the March 2008 Extended Master Class, I highly recommend attending. Jeff offers an atmosphere that charges the mind, body and spirit.

Like you, I took a twenty + year break from magic and was worried I might not fit into the class. It wasn't an issue. For me, spending time with Jeff and his spouse Abbi, helped take my magic to another level. Want to change from doing tricks to making a magical experience? Eugene Burger will help. Tobias Beckwith will take you "Beyond Deception" and covers the theatrics of the business.

Add visits with Lance Burton, Mac King and several other top-flight magicians and you have a once in a lifetime experience. I guess it would be more than once in a life time if you are a return student, as are many of Jeff's attendees.

There's a lot to learn and it's a great time. The one thing that stood out was how well everyone was treated. It matters not whether you are an expert of novice, everyone teaching Jeff's class has patience, wit and wisdom.

This is not a paid endorsement, just a very satisfied student.

Yes, I am a magician. No I did not make my hare (hair) disappear... it just took early retirement.

Hello all and thank you Jeff for your caring advice you give. I thought new Vegas visitors would also love to visit the Springs Reserve by the Meadows Mall. Ways to help the Earth, interactive exhibits, live animals, an amazing movie about how Vegas started thousands of years ago and so much more. It is a magical place...Judy and I do recomend it. We had a special day there. Hope to see you in June when we visit for Judys birthday. Peace to you Jeff.
