He deserves it.
If your only talent is copyright infringement, you need to be attacked by pigeons. I thought it was awesome. Gwyd |

Heh...for years there has been a variety of chubby ill fitting crappy costumed Spiderman "photo buskers" outside of the Times Square Flagship Toys R Us. They feed off the tourists heading into the toy store.
Only recently I noticed that Toys R Us hired their own trimmed professionally costumed Spiderman to work just inside. |

I agree that copyright infringement is bad. And he was a poor looking Spiderman. And most of these "character" buskers suck. And I wouldn't give them a dime. But dang...

I was just hired to busk out in time square; this is giving me ideas on how to sabotage the competition.
As far as copyright goes. My girlfriend works in Marvel's legal dept; She told me that as long as people aren't charging money they can dress up as they like. I think that the buskers get around this by accepting donations, but not directly asking for money. I saw a pretty good documentary about some of these costumed characters out in CA. Its worth a look: http://www.hulu.com/watch/63282/confessions-of-a-superhero |

It wasn't the brightest thing I've ever done in my life. Sadly though, it was far from the dumbest.

I just did an escape today at a local charity event - there was a little kid (about 3 years old) in a spiderman costume - I used him in the show to prove that the handcuffs were genuine - bless him he really pulled hard ..... and if a super hero cant open them then they must be real good ones!!!!!!
