I have a show on Monday mornings during the news on the local FOX 12 affiliate in Boise, Idaho. Population is about 565,000.
I burn through a lot of material doing a weekly show and I'm looking for magic stores, magic web sites, or individual creators who would like to sponsor the show. What I need is material to use each week. Cost of sponsorship is simply send me effects I can use on the show. I'll review it as well and give a post/link on my web site. Show Name: Behind The Magic with Kipp Sherry Station: FOX 12 in Nampa, Idaho Air Time: 5-6 minutes between 6:45 - 7:00 am on Monday mornings Supporting Website: http://www.BehindTheMagicONLINE.com (not active yet) Please let me know if you are interested. Until we appear again, Kipp Sherry |

So magic shops and trick creators around the world are going to benefit from a "sponsor link" on a website plugged at 6:45am on a Monday on a show aimed at the general public in a miniature local media market?
This is one of the strangest things I have ever heard.

The "opportunity" confuses me greatly.

Kipp...
If you ask them about syndicating the segment to other Fox stations around the country, you might have more luck in attracting sponsors.

Steve,
It's not any stranger than doing Fairs and Festivals in miniature local markets. Danny, Sorry for the confusion. Jack, Thank you for the support. Steve, I agree totally, but then the sponsorship fees would also be a lot higher. Maybe someday it will go there. I'm already doing the show, so it really doesn't matter if nobody wants to ride my coat tails. I'm just letting people know that the opportunity exists and you're welcome to jump on board if you are interested. If someone has a large volume of beginner magic that retails for around $35.00, you're wholesale cost is about $21.00. If you don't consider that to be a large advertising budget then I would be interested in hearing from you. If not, that is cool too. I'm already making it happen, with or without you. I'm just trying to share the pie. If you think I'm going about it all wrong, I would appreciate more helpful advice like Steve's. Until we appear again, Kipp Sherry |
