Hi,
For us who lived in Asia, most of peoples here is shy person and not too much responsive. Do you think stage hypnotisme act will work well? Thank you vry much. Cheers, CC |

I'd like to know what you guys think so too...
I personally think it's more up to the Hypnotist to make the show happen, if you know what I mean... Whaddaya think?

If the advertising (so that people know what to expect) and introduction (building up excitement) are good, there should be no problem.
Well, assuming the hypnotist knows his/her stuff. |

Although I have not performed in Asia, I once did a show for an exclusively Philipino audience. They were not familiar with hypnosis, and had no cultural expectations of what was expected of them. It became obvious to me that the hypnosis would be a struggle and would not be very entertaining. So I switched to a mentalism and magic show, and it was a great success.
If the culture where you are based is for people to be shy and unresponsive, and if there is no history of hypnosis shows to familiarise them with what is involved, then you will find it difficult. Of course with some thought and some practice you will overcome those difficulties, but it won't be as easy as performing before a willing audience in an English university. Good luck with it if you try.
