Heyy!!! I look forward to being a member of the magic Café forums.

I've been reading posts for 2 years now... but have never come here to post anything my self.

I've been studying, and practicing magic for almost 2 years now... and I think I'm ready to be put into the world of magicians!!!

in the past week, I've gotten buisness cards, and a website up and running... and with that... I've had 5 people come ask me to do a show for them!!!

it's nerve racking!!! haha


I've done a number of volunteer shows, and have practiced alot... but I have not done a paid show yet... not until this friday anyways!!

Sounds like you're off to a great start. Good luck! Joining the Café is the best move you could make. Keep us informed about your first 'pay' gig.

You don't have to do paid shows in oeder to be professional. It isggod that you have taken time to prepare. There should never be a difference between the quality of performance between an amateur and professional -- only the audience "presence" gained through experience. Practice well, and alwasy appreciate the part you are doing "right now."

My problem is... I've never done shows, or even walk around for adults before...

I've done a number of kids shows... And that's what I enjoy the most!

But who knows, maybe once I'm done this show on friday, I'll love it just as much...

the show went sooo well!

I had tons of fun... the kids there loved it!!

and the adults loved it just as much!

first show, couldn't have went any better!!

I've learnt, not to be so nervous... and worried.
things just flow, as you go. lol

Just looking at your avatar, I knew you would do well. If everyone there was pleased with your performance, that means that your show was entertaining. That, my friend, is the most important lesson you've learned from your experience.
