There were 7 sheep on Noahs Ark. (At first. Then everybody got hungry.)
The capital of Thailand is Krung Tape. (False) Henry the 8th only had 2 wives (False. At no time did he have more than one.) Alexander Graham Bell did not invent the telephone. (Maybe.) NASA did not invent Teflon. (Who says they did?) The hottest part of a chilly is the central membrain (The hottest part of a chilly what? And what the heck is a membrain?) World War 2 ended in 1992. (BS) Everything above is fact. (False) Anyone got any other interesting facts that are the truth to common misconceptions? (no) Peace and love, (This post is guaranteed to stimulate the opposite. Who do you think you're kidding?)

Since the Pope, and most likely Katheryn herself wouldn't recognize the divorce the second he married that Boleyn girl he had two wives. However in Henry's eyes he was never really married to Katheryn (the whole basis of his argument to get the marriage annuled) Ann was therefore his first wife.

I'd get killed on sports and the early 80's.
Henry the eight was married to: 1.Catherine of Aragon 2.Ann "The Love Machine" Bolyne 3.Jane "The Actress" Semour 4.Ann of Cleves 5.Catherine 'the hitman' Howard 6.Catherine 'Five Under' Parr thus the answer is six chicks, not two, six, got it? Six, a total of 13 boobs (Ann the first had three of 'em). |

Hey, there's an idea for a new game show. Magic Jeopardy! Maybe Alex would be up to doing a special on it for a week and bring in some known magicians as contestants.

An easy way to remember how many and their fate is
Divorced Beheaded Died Divorced Beheaded Survived For all you SCA Goobers out there. I was squired in 1988 in front of the chapel where Catherine Parr is interred. Beats the heck out of that Elk's Lodge or hay field where most everyone else gets their belt If you're not in the SCA the preceding paragraph won't make any sense to you so don't worry about it.

It was all a ploy to distract attention from his true love, Wolsey.

Payne, I had an SCA guy who worked for me in the mid 80's. The owner of the company came in and this idiot had on his helmet and was swinging a sword, the owner looked at him, left, next day my clerk was no longer employed! In Berkeley they have a group that does the middle ages the way they think it should have been, you know, two queens, women are knights, dudes are maidens....all that bay area stuff.

I'd like to point out two things. First Matt Shepherd is as useless now as he was when he was younger and two to live in the bay area one must be in an area that actually is near the bay...unlike where kcg lives which is neither bay area nor delta, it is, well, just a place.

The capital of Thailand is Krung Tape. (False) Well, apparently, the capital of Thailand (known to us as "Bangkok,") is known as; "Krung Thep Maha Nakhon" IN Thailand. So "Krung Tape" is certainly incorrect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangkok Quote:
Henry the 8th only had 2 wives (False. At no time did he have more than one.) Well, as has been explained here by numerous people. Henry the 8th had SIX wives (although certainly not all at once), but the church only recognized two. I believe that's why we have CofE in England now, but I could be wrong. Quote:
Alexander Graham Bell did not invent the telephone. (Maybe.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone Several people have been proposed as the actual "inventor" of the telephone, but Bell gets the first patent, so he gets the credit. Quote:
NASA did not invent Teflon. (Who says they did?) Neither did they invent Velcro, nor did they create the "round Earth" theory. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polytetrafluoroethylene Teflon was first created in 1938 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velcro Velcro in 1941 multiple people have measured the circumference from before the time of Christ. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth%27s_circumference Quote:

World War 2 ended in 1992. (BS) The War ended on May 7, 1945, with the surrender of the Japanese forces. https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/e......ey-dates There was some skirmishing after the surrender. However, the biggest news was that there was a Japanese soldier who'd been assigned to an island who hadn't surrendered! https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-53763059 In his book, which I glanced through, he said they used to use loudspeakers to broadcast to him the fact that the war was over! Which, he said, was foolishness. He knew full well the war was over, his side had lost. But HE HIMSELF had not yet been relieved of command, and he couldn't leave his post until that happened. I believe, in 1974, they found his commanding officer who, dressed in his old uniform, called for the soldier to come out and formally relieved him of his duty. I think he was a major hero in Japan when he got back. I can find no reference to "1992" as a reference to World War 2. Quote: Everything above is fact. (False)
