Anyone performs with the Dove Egg? I do not like how it looks because the highly noticeable line when both pieces are connected together.

Same here, that's why I only used it for stage, then people couldn't see it as well, but still. I've kinda stopped using it.

Over the years I have used it both alone and "loaded". It is no longer in the show but still like it. I do use it in sales meetings sometimes to deal with "We are dealing with an egg someone layed".

I love the price. But I will not purchase it unless someone can explain a good effect for a kid's show, and how to camouflage the line.

Dynamike,

For me the line has never been a problem.

Using it in a kid show would be fun to do as first the production of the egg and then "cracking" the egg to find a small stuffed animal.

I once close the egg and wasn't able to open it anymore... luckily no dove was inside...

I think a friend of mine performs a zombie egg, whith a dove inside the egg. It was quite nice. I don't know if it's a classic or if it's an original idea.

That is a clever idea. The only disadvantage I can see is the weight.

Mike,

To camouflage plain nylon fishing line, use a black Sharpie pen! It is actually better if you do a sorry job of it. You don't really want it black. You just want it to kill the shine.

Good thinking, Bob. You know everything.

I started magic tricks 33 years ago. This is going to be my first time ever I will not book a magic show so I can finally go to Abbotts Get Together. I know it is costing me a few hundred dollars. But it is worth a lot more to see you and Al Angello.

Dynamike, how about painting the big egg to look like an easter egg. The colorful design helps camouflage the line.

Yep, that sounds like a good idea. Thanks.
