I recently received the most beautiful wand I have in my collection. Alan Zagorsky at Owen crafted it for me...it's ebony, 16" with silver tips. The weight and balance is incredible--it practically does wand spins by itself. The ebony (which they told me is almost impossible to get in any quantity) is stunning--deep, dark and with the most sublimely subtle grain. This is a wand in the classic 20th century style and I'm using it every day, esp. with cups and balls, and it is the perfect size for my stage presentation also.
Apparently Alan made a couple of others in ebony, with gold tips, at 14". If ever anyone wants a quality classical wand, get in touch with Owen. Absolutely fabulous! Geoffrey

I've got a couple of wands that Ray made last year and they're great.

Here are some pics of the new Owen wand, ebony 16" with silver tips. The pics don't do the wand proper justice; the tips gleam brilliantly and there is a lustrous black sheen on the wand itself. The cups in the pics are Miller nickel-plated.

Geoffrey,
Very nice! I like the pics best where you can pick out the grain in the wood. I imagine it to be quite heavy? Bri |

Hi Bri,
It has a good weight to it; I suppose it is quite heavy, compared to other wands I have, but not overbearingly so--it doesn't hurt when you do wand spins with it. It's a little heavier than the beautiful Raydu wand Rannie Raymundo made for me last year, and that's made from a very dense wood. Geoffrey

That really is a gem. I am so happy that there are magicians out there that still appreciate true craftmanship
