Okito box routine.
I found this routine on David Roth's VHS...volume 11, OKITO COIN BOX MAGIC. I think this is a good routine, and I like it because he don't "rush" the four coins through the hand, but have control and drop them one by one. Can you please give me a comment of my presentation. Any comment is welcome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7EeTRnGm......nel_page (ps: I will only have this video on YouTube a few days...and delete it again.) -Morten- |

Upon reading this through it sounds harsh and it isn't the tone I wish to convey. Think of having a conversation with a good friend who has your best interests in mind.
Technically you did the routine very well. But since you asked about your presentation... You didn't have a presentation. Find something interesting to say about what is happening or why. Try and connect it to something I care about or might care about or would show some interest in. Otherwise you simply did a trick. You did it well but it isn't very magical. |

I've been using the concept of money slipping through my hands. Seems to resonate pretty well recently!

I would only say that you should leave the box on the back of your hand as you remove the lid. I think it would add a nice touch for those who know about the box, but maybe aren't familiar with Roth's stealing move.

Hi, Morten.
Was that you performing. Wow!! I'm impressed. I love that one at a time revelation. You say that is a David Roth idea? Thanks for sharing. Too bad you will be removing the youTube video shortly. I like having wonderful video links to go to to recharge my batteries and to get inspired. Best, Mike

Nicely done. It does need the context of a full routine, and some presentation but the handling is casual, natural and expert. David should be proud of you.
One suggestion: do not remove the box from the back of your hand. Remove the lid. That will show an empty box very cleanly. As it is, you're not doing anything at the end but there's a sense that something's happening when you drop the box out from under the lid. That's not a natural way to show the box empty, it's the way people "right" an Okito box. |

The way you drop the coins one at a time, silently, is very impressive. Great job!
