I received a couple of these DVD's for Christmas. Needless to say I was very happy Christmas morning. My wife wasn't to happy - having to pry me away from the TV
Some of my favourites include: Invisible Palm, Reset, Do it myself, and I only had two!!
Cheers,

Everything on this collection is powerful stuff. Like Bill says on the tapes, he uses 90% of the material on the tapes in real life. The only bad thing I have to say is you have to flip the handling from left handedness to righty (minor if at most).

Just got this today, and, for the first time ever, am forced to admit that the performances were worth the price of the tapes (I am normally don't beleive in buying tapes just to watch performances). The only disappointment was having to see the end of the last tape!
I could'nt help but smile throughout the video Bill's presentation and misdirection is phenomenal! I loved the parts where he keeps coughing out cards (I kept telling myself that I would catch him the next time he did it..but no..I just could'nt..no matter how hard I concentrated..it's just that good!) The material he uses is killer and the great thing is that is not too hard to perform! Overall superb video that exceeded my expectations despite all the hype surrounding it. 10/10 Oh wait.. 11/10 |

Yup that's the grade I would give these tapes too! Highly entertaining, yet powerful, and sometimes surprising magic! A one of a kind magician!

YES YES YES
Bil Malone is a brilliant and funny entertainer. The routines are strong and the tapes PACKED FULL of usable material. I was also dissapointed when the tapes came to an end. Definately a must! Or rather, wait, no, forget that... Its no good. No, DON'T BUY IT! (The less out there who have it the better!!!!!!!!!!) Good Work Bill! Looking out for more! Jo Ps The Coughing Up Cards I found explained on Jim Pace's GaGs Video. Its actually very easy. Or just keep watching Bill! Ma! Lone! do it a couple of hundred times and you'll get it. |

Bill Malone doesn't teach it in the videos. However, it is quite easy to see how he does it after watching it a few times.

Do you guys have any tips on spreading the cards, once you've palmed them? Getting it to look like the cards are really spilling out of your mouth is tough.
One things I've found, is not to palm too many cards. With too many, when you spread them you mostly end up with white space i.e. borders.

"Cards From Mouth" is explained on volume 1 of the Jeff McBride Card Manipulation videos.

I learned the 'coughing up cards' thing years ago from repeatedly watching a performance of his that I recorded off of TV. Probably not the best way to learn it, but it worked.

There's lots of good material on Bill's tapes, no doubt -- but the real value I submit comes from watching how he handles and interacts with the audience. . .

Agreed, Jeff!
Just as an aside, it's one thing to produce the cards from the mouth but another altogether to do it in a way that catches the audience off guard every time. Few people can do it repeatedly and consistently get away with it. Would anyone care to speculate as to how Bill does it? L- |

When performing, there are "beats" of time. It is sort of like how it is in music. Bill does it on the "off beat". That "time" occurs usually after a joke or a climax of an effect, on the least expected moment.
Hope it helps - Alex

There is a trick on one of the tapes called something like "I Don't even have a pocket".
The name of this trick has made me wonder what exactly the effect is. All i can imagine is a card-to-pocket routine, where as a climax, the magicians reveals he doesn't even have a pocket. Anyone help?

I recieved the Bill Malone tapes a couple of months ago and I have added a few of the tricks to my show already. I have enjoyed this purchase above many of my others.
