Hi Guys,
my problem is this....I use a Laptop to playmy music through my amplifier. I get a lot of interference/noise!! I was told that I need a special lead that has some sort of noise reducing thingy on it. In Cyprus,bits like this are not easily found...so, number one question, what is this part called? number two question can anybody give me a website so Ican order one? Thanking you in advance for any help or suggestions. Chris

How much length of cable are you running? If you're running more than a couple meters, you'd probably need a shielded cable to cut the noise.

Radio Shack has them and you might also want to get a device for your power cord to your computer called a Ground Loop device. You will have to search them on the net. One trick that you can always try is unplugging you power cord and flip it over and plug it back into the outlet which reverses the polarity.

If you only hear the noise when the Laptop is plugged in it is a grounding issue that can be corrected by using a direct box with gound lift. for example
