Yeah, just one of the reasons I don't go to the local magic circle any more. Three different occasion over two years: a quarter, C/S TUC and an Ike TUC set of four.

Stupid me for draping my coat over a chair with items in the pockets. No big problem. Marcello gifted me a Morgan when he stayed with me in Knoxville,
and I found an Ike TUC for $25 in a "grab basket" at a convention side-room.

I did have some props stolen from my car in a break-in also. Not magicians -- they broke a window. Just looking for drugs or something. Only thing taken was my Okito box with four Kennedys

In addition to these TUCs, over the years I have lent various effect to magicians who then refused to give them back on the theory that they were "making a living from magic" while I was not.

The biggest loss was my complete collection of Genii Magazines vol 1-16. The money value doesn't matter. I want to reread them.

Just click on the PM button on Mr. Tango above -- may take a while for a response if he is traveling.

I would love to have one in a soft Morgan, but I'm afraid to try and order one. I really would like it to resemble my other Morgans as closely as possible so I guess I would need to supply the coin but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Also, to be perfectly honest, in my experience the coins produced by Tango often lack an attention to detail and I guess I'm afraid I would be disappointed with it. And it ain't cheap!

I've ordered two soft Morgan TUC in the last year or so on separate occasions directly from Mr. tango
Each time I simply took very good pictures of my other Morgan's that I wanted the TUC to match... Mr tango matched them perfectly

All went very smooth.

Thanks for the info Justin and bowers.
I have the Morgans so if I can get in touch with Marcello I'll check into it.

So if I order a TUC half today from Penguin magic, what DVD and I going to get with it? Is it TUC secrets or something else?

The DVD TUC secret is included in all the TUC now, so if you ordered a TUC you don't have to buy anything more.

I asked Penguin magic if I purchased a TUC from them, did it come with a shimmed card for use in the matrix routines? Penguin indicated that it does not.

It would seem then that I do have to purchase something more if I want to perform the matrix routines.

It originally came with the card -- not sure what has happened. Hope Marcello joins in here.

but some of the Matrix type effects do not require any special card.

For the record, it seems Penguin may have given me bad information. I ordered and received my TUC from MJM magic and lo and behold, the TUC did come with a shim card right inside the ziplock bag the TUC came in. I will say that the while the shimmed card is a single card, it is slightly discolored. I don't think it is enough to make it unusable but it is slightly disappointing none the less.

Now the question is, would it be worth it for me to purchase the TUC appreciation ebook? Does it have one or a couple of outstanding effects that make it worth it?

Yes, develop some proficiency with handling the TUC before expanding into alternative handlings and ideas.

There are more than 60 effects in the TUC Appreciation book, but about a third are written descriptions of the effects on the DVD.
Some folks prefer the step-by-step explanations and additional theory. Some of the effects are "performance modules" for building larger effects, often with alternative ways for handling the TUC.

Some effects are contributions from notable performers together with suggested story or patter. A couple are very unique and possible only with the TUC.

The intent is to excite the imagination of the performer rather than offer a "better" routine.

Some readers have suggested that the performance theory included is worth getting the book --

but that can wait

Anyone heard from Sammy lately (he started this topic)? Been about a year since he's posted.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Hello friends,

We include the shim card as a gif in all the versions of TUC except in IKE and copper and silver versions.

I'm now working to publish video material with TUC and ex.... steel shell. You will see! In February I will be traveling around US and England, but from March I will book one day a week to shoot videos, so I will produce a lot of material this year.

March 1st I will be lecturing in Tanpa, US

Thank you to Penguin Magic for allowing me to send back the TUC Secrets DVD they have advertised separately. It was a bit of a pain for me to send it back safely, but that's my situation and inexperience with sending via USPS. They righted the misunderstanding. The TUC Secrets is the exact same DVD that came with my TUC originally. Also thanks to Mr Funsway for offering to further ease the situation. I have the TUC Secrets PDF he has produced and its for serious magicians that like the theory of all aspects of using the TUC. A shell, whether shimmed or not is an EXCELLENT addition to the TUC itself. shimmed would give it that extra security, but without the shim, you could put some icing on the miracle the TUC is.

Thanks again to Penguin and Funsway!
