Hi I need some advice for a change bag to be used to effectuate a force of a certain card.
My goal is to be able to collect about 200 cards (like raffle tickets), and then force a spectator to choose a target card from a set of identical target cards in the secret compartment. What would be the best change bag to accomplish this? The "raffle tickets" are going to be the size of a poker-size playing card, and I'm estimating about 4 decks worth of cards, so size is important. I'm also concerned about getting a bag that is too flashy. I read about tote-style bags and was wondering how easy it is to change compartments in those bags? I want to be able to walk around, collecting cards, and to switch compartments so the "target" drops her card into the force compartment, and then switch back as I continue to collect indifferent cards, all without too much fumbling. Also, if someone knows of another device that could accomplish the same thing, I would love to hear about it. Thanks in advance for your help! |

I'd recommend making your own by gluing or taping two opaque plastic bags together. The more that the bag looks like something you would use to 'just carry things', the better. Go to Walmart and buy some clear tape...ask for two bags, go home and use the tape to tape the two bags together and you'll have a natural looking 'change bag'

That's a rather boring part of the act, when you walk around collecting 200 or so cards. You might consider, instead, passing around an OM Billet Box that the spectators can drop cards in themselves. You'll find several modern variations in my Mini-Mysteries Section (on my site) regarding the OM Billet Box, but the boring part takes place among the spectators as you continue entertaining the audience. Then when the cards have all been collected, the last card depositer brings the box up to you and you use that person to shake the box and reach in to remove the chosen force card.

Thanks for the tip. I'm only slightly familiar with an OM Box, but wouldn't the initial spectators notice that the box isn't empty when it is being passed around?
