The you-know-what on my wallet broke on me last night. Any suggestions on how I could either fix or replace it (without spending another $100+ on a wallet)

For leather repair, I'd talk to Frank Starsnic here on the Café'. He did a bang up job on an antique coin purse for me.

I'm sure I could find one even cheaper than that, but if I were to replace my wallet I would replace it with the particular version I already have. I like the look of it, and I can load it in an instant with no thought; I'm used to it.
It was the guide that broke, so no leather repair necessary. I made a new one the other night and it seems to work. |

Guides are pretty easy to make. I make them out of card stock. If you want something tougher, have a shop that makes name badges cut a guide for you out of badge stock.
I prefer to use my JOL Basic Wallet - no moving guide. I also own a Keith Bennett Balducci, which is very nice. |
