Hey gang, I just got my Dean's Box and must say that's its fantastic. I've been rehearsing with it now for two hours a day for several day, perfecting the techniques. I find the ropes that came with the box to be a tad short and very stiff. I thought that working with then might soften them up but as yet they show no signs of yielding. Can anyone suggest a different kind of rope that would be a little softer and easier to work with. Please PM me.

I think that rope is perfect for the dean's box. the stiffness keeps it from flopping around. It's also made of good material that won't easily get dirty.
I'd recommend just getting used to it.
