Thanks Christopher,
I think an old pro like you might have had an idea what was coming. You are too nice. James ps The audience only sees the ducks for a second but I had to keep them for 6 more months. Quote: On 2009-08-01 22:30, Christopher Kavanagh wrote:

I also received my DVD last week and I will give the same review like "bosque".
DVD well made, detailed instruction for building the gimmick and you also receive any props for it. I only hoped that the gimmick is already built.

Well, I performed this trick about ten times today and got extremely good reactions. Some people wore that befuddled look that speaks volumes, while others actually got creeped out by it. You can't buy a reaction like that. This trick might even be better than I originally thought. I don't really use Steve Feasrson's patter, but I do use the premise of conjuring a spirit. A couple of times I followed the effect with a haunted deck, which seemed to take the heat off the box, but it may be overkill. Anyway, I would highly recommend this trick. I'm going to fab up a couple more to have on hand as back-up. I know Steve Fearson seems to provoke strong responses from some Café members; I'm not sure why. There may be something I don't know about. All I know is that he comes up with some very clever ideas. Some of my favorite effects are the Fearson Hookup for IT, Fearsons Box, and now this. This may be the most practical of all as far as I'm concerened. Hope I haven't angered anyone; I just really like this trick.

I wish they would sell just the download. I really want it but not looking forward to stumping up shipping costs to the UK.

Thanks Michael,
I appreciate your kindness. The funny thing is, that's the way Gazzo loads balls. I learned from Gazzo's book and then from the DVD set. Gazzo pouch,Gazzo cups, Gazzo routine [shorter though]Gazzo loading method. James Quote: On 2009-08-03 13:08, Michael Peterson wrote:

Gazzo's loading method is impossible NOT to catch... for a magician. Especially if you know what to look for. You will not be fooled, no amount of misdirection can hide it.
My copy of Legend is on the way, and when I get it I will post a full review for you.

I don't work for magicians, they are all broke, lol.
I work for strangers and do TV spots. In a full body shot on TV, if you are familiar with the material, you know what is going on. I always think it's funny how many non-working magicians are such critics. Michaelmystic2003,Magic Spank, up some clips of your work, then run your big mouth. I still stand by my original post that stated this marketing campaign is full of it. Fearson sits in his lazyboy, calls you Spanky and with Pepe in hand, draws up jis "strategy" to hoodwink the "stupid magicians" into buying his latest. Fearson emailed me and asked me when I would stop. When I am dust. James Quote: On 2009-08-03 23:16, Michaelmystic2003 wrote:

Are you seriously asking me to post clips of my work? My friend, look around... I have at least 40 or so videos, and 3 or 4 videos of my live performances on my Youtube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/magicianmike1234

I did not realize you were so young Michael. Good job on the videos. Filming your performances is the best tool for getting better. It's also the most painful.
James ps I still want to see YOUR loading method for cups and balls.

This is absolutly wicked. Seriously cool. I've made the gimmick and I can't stop doing it to myself. It's like there really is a ghot controlling the deck. SO easy to make. Takes a little bit of time however. Everything you need is in your house. So easy to perform and it really is an audience killer. the F-R-E-A-K the !@#$ out! One of my favourite "haunted" effects of all time. Awesom Steve.

Anybody else made the gimmick and tried this out? I'm still amazed by how cool this is. People just get this goofy look on their faces when I do this. And the thing is durable. I've done this scores of times now and it just keeps on ticking. This is probably my favorite new purchase as far as easy to carry, strolling-type effects go.

Hey bosque,
I have made and performed this for the last 2 days. Tried it to freind's, family, Workmates and even at gig's. It plays VERY well with me. Either people just giggle and jump away from the deck. Scared to again make contact with it OR they get totally freaked out and act as though I've just placed a Cobra infront of them. one of my closest friends (who has seen every trick I own, I have put him through them all) said it was possibly one of his favourite effects that he had seen me perform. that's saying something because I've shown him Sponge Bunnies! Hi Jamie-
Glad you're getting those freat reactions when you do this. I'm really loving this trick. Sometimes I follow the effect with a Haunted Pack routine, saying that the ghost can control individual cards as well. I'm not sure if this undercuts the power of the effect or not. I'll keep playing with it though. Anyway, this is a excellent trick, in my opinion, and an excellent deal. |
