One person's story and ethics of living without money here. Kind of fascinating.

I wonder what the "killer deal" he got was for his ticket to travel to India.

I live almost totally without money, but I didn't plan it that way.

A shame he only tells us that road kill squirel and dear are delicious but does not share the recipes.

Not that we have either here but perhaps bloated two day dead roo would work with the same seasonings.

Magicians have been living without money for centuries. But people have lived without brains much longer.

Well hey if we had a TRUE world socialism as a government there would be no need for money.

Read an interesting article 2 years back with Paul Harris giving a large sum of money to a 'person" in the street and going on the road virtually broke. Interesting read.

Gee, what an idiotic article. He doesn't live of his/her own money he lives off OTHER peoples money. Now what is interesting is the advocates for the homeless (remember before you go crazy my brother was homeless the last seven years of his life) claim 'no one wants to live like that' and here we have an article where that is exactly what the writer is doing! The writer rides a bycicle, someone paid for it, he takes food etc from others, they paid for it. The whole thing reminds me of, I believe, Einstein who was said to never sleep but survived by "taking naps from six to eight hours long". I don't know about you but I call a six to eight hour nap sleeping. Can one exist w/out making any money? Of course, but using this person as an example one needs others to make money.

Who was it that said, "It cost a fortune to keep Ghandi in poverty."? Ghandi's lifestyle was notoriously strange and very expensive. But he had sworn off material wealth.

It seems to me when you owe the rest of the world 15 Trillion dollars and owing another Trillion every year as time goes by you IS living without money.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Observation of the month! Thanks Santa.

I'm broke, I have lived happily thus far even though no income has been coming in.

it's the little things in life that are most important. John Lennon's song imagine is a perfect example of how we can live life without possessions.

Another perfect example is the book and film" Into the Wild"

Cheers

"Perfect example"? If I had just a fraction of the money and possession's that John Lennon had, I would be living High on the Hog Smile .

And the guy from the movie "Into the Wild"...DIED man!

He's dead.

He got hungry, real hungry and then ate poisonous berries and he died.

Not such a good example honestly.

The missing last lyrics of Imagine by John Lennon:

The reality is I'm loaded....
much better off than you....
and if you don't like it...
all I can say is F you....

In fact I'm rolling in money....
yes and Yoko too
we ride around in limo's
once again F you....

They decided to keep that part out because people were falling for the image ol' John was selling.
