When I think something seems too expensive I look to see where it's made. If it's made in CHINA by the millions with slave labor at 1 dollar a piece and some US company is trying to sell it for $300 then I put it back on the rack.

Unless I'm mistaken, these DDs are all hand made buy someone in small quantities.

I thought that they were $140 new when I bought one. I thought it was a fair price. I didn't use it in my act so I sold it.

I never saw it except for the demo, looks like an inner/outer box with a twist. Clever, but pricey. I don't care what the routine is, the dealer has to respect the buyer with fair pricing.

I believe they are indeed hand made and come from Germany.

For anyone who thinks this is overpriced, you should see what Jack Goldfinger does with it in his stage show. For him and with his showmanship, it is worth every penny...

I would suggest that we separate the item from the routine. You do not buy what someone does with the effect after market, you buy the quality and value of the manufacturer and the basic effect.
I can take a ring and spring and do a $100 routine with it, the trick is still going to sell for under $3. My routine with the trick is another story.
The original question was what this was worth to sell. I watched the Stevens demo and it seems to be okay and a nicely made piece.
So, Driebeck box $95-$200, routine in the hands of Jack Goldfinger, or Kapps, priceless.
