Foy E Brown of Lawrence, Kansas carved Punch and Judy Puppets and Vent Figures. His personal Vent Figure was named Suzie and is currently for sale on eBay. Ebay item number 160353733672. Foy carved all of his puppets out of basswood, the softest hardwood and wood burned the initials FEB figures on all of his puppets. Foy's brother, Doc Brown of South Dakota worked as a magician and ventriloquist throughout the midwest. Foy's father won first place at the St Louis Worlds Fair for his vent act. His father also performed Punch and Judy and carved his own figures out of apple wood. Does anyone have any other information about this man?

Tom thanks for directing Chevrie to Ventriloquist Central. Chevrie there is much to both see and read concerning Foy Brown on my site. I also own Foy Brown figures and have them pictured on the site. His personal figures which he used until he retired from performning were made by Revelo Pettee and I have those pictured as well.I hope you take a look.

Thanks for the memories. I met him years ago. In Lawrence, Kansas if my memory is working well.

With the price of figures these, days I wish I bought one from him.

These days I have one traditional figure. Actually he doesn't get out much these days. I may display him in my middle school office this year.

Hey Dan, what an awesome site. I met Foy in the mid 1980's when I was learning to perform Punch and Judy. The black and white photo of Foy in front of his Punch and Judy Theater also picture the puppets that I purchased from him and have performed with many times. Thanks for the photos and the memories!
