I have been doing research on the Cannonball Catch trying to find it's originator so I could find the methods. I found the originator on a site. However it didn't say much of him. So I only wrote his name down. Now I cant find anything on the guy. I don't remember what site I found him on in the first place. Can anyone give me any sites regarding John Holtum 1845-1949?

Since this is sort of a sideshow/circus type effect, you may also want to put something on the "Believe It or Not" section. A lot of folks there that are familiar with these types of effects that may not check the illusion threads often. Sorry I am of no more help!
