I really like this one - and it's a fooler - AND the price is certainly right. It's a puzzle effect however, and needs your own presentation added to make it something more. It's the same thing as with Blaine's trick, I was really hoping for a more fleshed out presentation.
Still - GET IT!

Great price for a great trick! I got mine installed on my iTouch. I believe you can also get this from Theory11.

Its a fantastic application and very magical indeed. I don't really have the problem with 'voice recognition' claims.

For those who have problems finding it, just go to applications and tyope "rising card" - then download it and enjoy fooling people with it!

It is a good app but the icon set needs to be updated.. Its still showing the 2.1 icons where some of the 3.0 + icons are different like sms etc. You would think no one would notice but ive already had a few folks mention it..

Go to iTunes, (PC or Mac doesn't matter)
Then find "App Store" within iTunes, (you gotta' to to the App Store to search, or you won't find it).
Click on "App Store",
Search for "rising card",

upon discovery, download to your computer, ipod touch or iphone.

It's a great app.
Using it just as an app. I didn't get such a good response.
Every one knows that you can download it from the app store.
But when you combiane it with a real magic tricks the response
is great. I love this app.

I keep both RisingCard and Street Magic (from David Blain) on my iPod thanks to my Eddie Manning. I’ve been using them with Crossroads and it works out very well. If you do much magic and have an iPod (or iPhone) you would be foolish not to have them sitting there. It would be like keeping a TT in your pocket, only it would be “hidden” in your device.

This trick made available on iTunes begs a question…
If you had developed tricks this good, and could sell them for $25.00 each on a magic site for “mostly” magicians’ vs on iTunes for $3.00 each to the world, what would you do. I’m not talking here just about the money. In other words, would you feel a “professional” obligation to magicians over a probable windfall?

All I have to say is...

If this App can fool 15 Mac Specialists (the blue shirts at any Apple Retail Store - they look at iPhones all day) then it can fool the pants off any laymen regardless of what the screen looks like or whatever writing may be on the apps.

Sure - there are tweaks that could be made - but like someone pointed out above, the thing's $3. There are a lot WORSE things you could spend your money on.

I am Rich app??? Anybody remember that one?

Just my 2 cents

If you combine it with Universal Impression (pad version), you have a true piece of mentalism.. eliminating in the meantime the "voice recognition" claims.

Hi guys,

In my opinion, (and I'm often wrong!) It does not matter if icons on your home page are old or new.

Apple lets you use what ever icons you want on your iphone. My home screen does not look like yours. And yours does not look like Kenner's.

I think this freedom of choice renders the argument "the icons are old or not right, or odd" meaningless. If you are worried about it, then you are running when no one is chasing you.

I like Kenner's App.

It's going to be interesting to watch the field develop.

I’ve been involved in the development of a similar iPhone app called “Harry.” I, too, own the Kenner effect. I like it, but the biggest concern I have with it, one that “Harry” solves, is that it smacks of nothing but technology. “Harry” involves the selection of a card from the deck. The deck is shuffled, turned face up and dropped onto the face of the iPhone/iPod Touch/iThing. Their card appears on the face of the screen. Moreover, the deck is given to the spectator who’s asked to find the chosen card. They can’t. It’s gone from the deck.

The card guy then says we need to restore the the card to the deck, because without doing so, you have 51 real cards and one cyber card. The chosen card is then “pulled” from the iPhone/iPod Touch/iThingaMaJiggy(TM), and restored to the deck.

(Note: if you’re working with blue-backed Tally Ho fan backs, so much the better.)

I wanted something that blended the technology, but incorporated real cards as well. Chris’ app is good…I like “Harry” better. (Of course I would.)
Cheers,
Steve

It's available on the App Store...you have to do some hunting for it. I found it by searching on iTunes, and found it more quickly than by searching via my iPod Touch.

Try this link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSto......550&mt=8

There could be a problem using hte new icons on Rising Card, I think apple has forced some developers to remove icons that are copyrighted by apple.

Other then that I think its a great app. Well worth the money, and apparently there might be a few updates coming for this app so it would eb well worth watching. There are lots of magic apps out now, its hard to know the good from the bad. This one is designed really well.

Having performed this over a week or so daily, I've noticed one major problem.

iPod Touches are fairly common, especially in high school... The problem with this app is that it's clearly an app designed specifically for a magic trick... Others, like iForce, P&T Chat, and Spirit Writer are well disguised and do not raise suspicion. Therefore, Kenner's app gets the credit, not the performer.

Also, iPod users almost immediately say "Cool! What's that app called?" and many of them, some way or another, find out. End of mystery.
