I live in an incredibly small, rural town: nothing ever happens here.
A friend of mine owns a restaurant with her husband; she manages, he cooks (my favorite restaurant, btw). Anyway, his dad was a football coach here probably thirty years ago. His dad divorced, though, and moved to Mississippi to coach football there. As it turns out, he was Brett Favre's high school football coach. Anyway, the other day his dad came into town to visit . . . and brought Brett Favre with him! My boss's husband was telling me about it. Apparently Brett Favre and his dad spent the day here and had lunch! I couldn't believe it, but I asked around and found out it was true! Anyway, there is my small town fanboydom for the day.

Buzz Aldrin walked on my street not long ago. Well the street does not belong to me really but my place is on street he walked on. Ive stolen a pave stone that he walked on so I guess a bit of it does now.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

About a week ago I found out that a long time ago Elanor Roosevelt would come here during the summers from Washington and take an evening walk to the next town over down a road that is now the main highway.

A friend of mine owns a gigantic cottage in the Muskokas that we often spend time at, and it is right next to Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, and Kate Hudson's summer cottage.

I hate to say it but I know this Favre played ball and retired and want to play again but other than that I don't know anything about him either. Nice he went to your town though.
