Can some give a quick review of this book?

I've got it. Other than a good explanation of the second deal, I didn't really find much stuff I liked. There are a lot of tricks that require you to setup a regular deck. Like he explains, it does put you a step ahead of the audience, but it makes it tough to perform a lot of the tricks back to back.

His Business Card Prophecy effect in the book is alone worth the price. I haven't studied much of the rest of the book yet but even if don't find anything else I like, I'm happy with it.

I mainly studied the section on the Second Deal. It is very detailed, and I'm sure it would be very helpful to those who are new to this sleight. This was one of the first few books I studied when learning my second deal.

Great book. Lots of hidden gems and I picked it up at Chapters for about 14 dollars. (Dover Edition)

This is a reprint. The book's original title was "Effective Card Magic" and it is widely considered to be one of the true classic, standard texts on card magic. It is an outstanding book with a treasure trove of usuable material and items you can use in many other effects. No serious student of card magic should be without it.
