Yes, that's right. USPCC is refusing to fullfill their playing card Guarantee.
Basically, I was given a Limited edition white bicycle deck that contained 2 defective cards, and I sent them to the Guarantee Address. I waited over 3 weeks, and no replacement deck. I emailed their customer service, and I was informed that my replacement deck would be in the mail by the end of the week (which, by the way, still seems rediculously slow), and I waited another 3 weeks. No new deck. I then emailed them again, and waited for 1 week for a response, but don't get one. I email them once again, politely explaining my situation, hoping to get this cleared up, and wait another week. Still NO response! Today, I email them one last time to inform them of my great disappointment with their (lack of) customer service, but it turns out that they BLOCKED MY EMAIL! I'm not kidding, they blocked my email, and it is now apparent to me that they are refusing to fullfill their own guarantee, which they are legally obligated to do.
I was truly polite in all my emails, simply asking for a clearing up of the issue. Except for the first email, I never got any explainations or acknowledgements of my situation.

Frankly, I'm not sure what I should do. I would like to switch to a different card company now, but no other company produces good quality decks, as far as I know. No matter what cards I buy, it would still profit USPCC because good quality card stock would still come from them. Either way, I am very disappointed with the treatment I have recieved from them, and I hope I can find some other brand of cards to use from now on.

It probably just got lost in the mail. They probably sent it and don't really care that you got it or not. I would forget about it.

Probably. But it would have been nice if they had at least responded to at least 1 of my emails and told me it was sent, and that if it got lost, there was nothing they could do about it. That's really my biggest issue, but all well...

Silly question, but did you every try calling customer service instead of emailing? Maybe speaking to a live representative will yield better results?

No, not yet. I'm considering simply forgetting about it, and if it ever happens again, hoping to have better then.

Report UPSCC to PETA, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, and the Better Business Bureau. Let's start a Worldwide boycott until Jim gets his cards.

I refuse to perform with a deck of their cards!

Great idea, Stone! That will force them to lower the price of their decks, and then I can buy a few gross!! You GO, man!

I'm curious, did the "guarantee joker" also state that you have to send the Ace of Spades? That's what's required for regular Bicycle decks.

Yes, it did, and yes, I did, but either way it shouldn't make a difference. To quote the Bicycle website: "Return the Ace of Spades, if present, and the defective card(s) to the below address based on US or Canada returns."

Jim,

I do understand it's a principle thing but with a pack of Bikes from Costco being just slightly over a buck, is it really worth the postage not to mention time and frustration?

Mickey, it was a limited edition deck. It was probably worth three or four dollars, not one. Heck, I have a few decks that cost maybe six or seven. I can hardly imagine how upset I'd be if those had defects.

Thanks, stoneunhinged, yes it was a 3 or 4 dollar deck.

However, Mickey, I think you may have misunderstood my "tone" with my last post. I've pretty much gotten over it, and decided that if it happens again, then I'll probably do something more about it when the time comes.
