I received my $500 Lafin table today after waitng several months for it. UPS Delivered it and the base unit is busted and the side of the table looks like someone took an axe to it.
I sent a Card Sword to a Café member and UPS bent it 45 degrees. Twice in the same day UPS delivered damaged products. How often do you get damaged goods via mail order?

lol, almost NEVER
then again I don't use UPS ground shipping often. The last few mail order items were light and came UPS ground and were just fine. For heavy stuff I agree that packing is really important.
...to all the coins I've dropped here

I have worked with many shipping companies and, hands down, UPS ranks highest on damage and loss.
I was taught a unique way of assuring proper packaging for UPS and I will share it with you the way it was demonstrated to me 30 years ago... A mirror had been packaged and someone asked if we thought it was good enough. Our manager was in the eaves over hearing. He took the package, climbed a flight of steps and to our shock, threw it down the stairs. We all thought him insane. Well, the package was intact and there wasn't any break. He said, "Yes, it will make it through UPS." |

UPS has never deliverd anything to me damaged.
The USPS is another matter, My grandfather died in 1991 and I got some very old beer stiens and someone made the mistake of shipping them thru the mail. One made it and the other was smashed to pieces. I HATE THE POSTAL OFFICE. |

This is an important piece of information that should be noted once again...I took some extra precautions and notified Ron Reid when he shipped my HeadChopper..
The box was dinged up but, it arrived unharmed thanks to the extra precautions... |

I know a former UPS employee. He said your package had better not come his way if he was having a bad day which is often in that biz.
