One day I noticed someone on You Tube telling viewers to touch the screen using our hands. I forgot what the function was about, but touching the screen physically did help control the operation. Does anyone know how this could be done?

David Copperfield used to have interactive magic tricks on his specials. I think most of them were Max Maven creations. Anyhow, you were instructed to touch the TV screen to count and make the magic happen. That sort of thing. Based on older principles.

I think this was also done on some other magic specials aside from Copperfield's.

That could be the sort of thing you experienced on YouTube.

Yes, there are touch-screens available now for some models of computers, but unless your computer actually has one you don't accomplish anything by touching your regular monitor (except maybe putting fingerprints onto it). Nothing can detect you touching a regular monitor.

And of course, there is the iPod Touch and the iPhone, along with some tablet products, which have touch screens. But again, those are different.

I think I made a mistake. I now remember is was not the touch of the screen with the hand. I think it was using the cursor to pick a certain object out of several items. For example, if someone on YouTube said pick a color on the left or right side of the YouTube monitor with your cursor. Whatever one you would pick, he would name. I can not find the link at this moment, but still looking.

Alikzam, that was a tip to what I am getting to. You noticed how the "play" button was grey. Is there a way the play button can be invisible?

Hey Dynamike, I haven't seen the video you're referring to. There is a way to make your own video like that using flash and to fake the graphics so it looks like a youtube video though. You'd have to learn flash and actionscript though.
