I use the standard red sponge balls, but my routine is so clean it squeaks. I call them clown noses. I start by bringing out two, and asking if we should "use the round one or the red one?" I get a lot of fun reactions from that simple line.
When I place them into the kid's hand, I make sure my finger goes in there also. Then I struggle to pull it out, telling the kid to "give me my finger back!" This becomes a running gag of sorts throughout the routine. I have a whole chapter of sponge ball routines for kids in my book "Kids Think It's Funny". The link is in my signature. |

Feel free to use that sponge ball line, and the routine. I figure if I post it here, it's available for all. That's also why it's in my book!

One line that always seems to go down well when I perform it is when three balls appear in their hand I ask them to count them loud and clear into my hand. When they have done this I say to them 'If you come back next week we'll do shapes and colours!'

When I got Mr G's book I added his line "round one or green one" to my show, I follow it with "Quick, pick your nose" which works well because I've also used the old "you think it's green but it'snot" hacktastical line previously. |
