I´m wondering, what you have in mind, when you think about a little red devil...
like the one who´s sitting on everyones shoulder...

I´m still working at my routine for my new vent puppet... you know

First thing that comes to mind - as you speak, he:
1.) adds words that change the meaning of what you are trying to say.
2.) constantly tries to get you to do something you shouldn't - eat something(you are on a diet), flirt with a woman, etc. Make it a running gag that he keeps tempting you with.

Why is he on your shoulder? Why is he your devil? How did he get assigned to you? Is he happy about it? What would he rather be doing? Has he been assigned to "devil" anyone famous? What stories go with that?

Just some ideas...

Sort of like the good and evil "Fred Flintstone" and other cartoon bits about choices.....
