Hi Lee,
wow fantastic to see someone so happy to help. I am just starting. I know very little but a few basic tricks but I love the look on peoples faces when I perform them. The best one (and I know it's so basic) is making rubber bands move across fingers. Now I am someone with a lot of experience in another field (totally unrelated) and have found myself unemployed and without the passion I used to have for my regular work. I have some money set aside and am thinking of following my dream, which is performing magic. I don't expect to make large amounts of cash especially as I will probably just start street performing etc. But my question to you is what advice can you give me regarding choosing tricks, appearance, stage persona, learning etc etc I know this is a big question but if you (and anyone else) can give me a hand I would be eternally greatful. Don't feel obliged to write a novel for me, just anything you could say will be appreciated. I have ordered a fantasio cane as my first investment into a proper magic trick, I know a few coin dissapearing and card tricks and have some idea of how some of the larger illusions are perfomed. Wow, my first post here turned out to be a long one! |

Hi, welcome to the Café!
I've been wanting to join the Mystic Ring myself but sadly I cannot do Thursday nights. Oh well. I hope you enjoy your stay here. |
