Would appreciate feedback guys. I'm well aware there is no Contact details (I'm using iWeb on a mac and am trying to find a solution!) I'm interested in feedback over the general layout, content and appearance as a whole. This is not the final web address either, when completed, it will all be transferred to http://www.fletcher-magic.com Thanks in advance guys! |

Yep, that is one thing I was going to mention, a "Contact" page. You might also want to put your contact on the bottom of each page.
I really like it. I will give a high grade. The only problem I noticed that can keep others from viewing it is the timing it takes for the pictures to load. Each page was opened at a very slow pace. I had to make myself patient. Do whatever you can to speed it up. I do not know, but you might have to take some of those wonderful pictures off of each page. (I hope not). |

Maybe you've used the quote "you were a real asset to the meeting..." a little too much? Having it as the first quote on three out of five pages seems to be excessive.
All looks really good otherwise. |

Point taken Phil - didn't realize I left that comment three times, that's templates for you!

It did not take to long to load for me but the pics were noticeable as the last thing to pop up.
if you are doing this then when you save the pics for web you shodul be able to choose the speed that they will load up. there shoudl have been 4 options to look at showing the quality of the picture and the speed at which it takes to load. I use Dreamweaver and adobe and this has helped make my pages load fast even if they still use dial up! Good luck, I like it. sam

Hi,
It is what it is.... a home made website. Its not offensive but it is dull. Give me a pm or email and we can have a chat about it. Cheers, Ade |

I think this site shows a lot of promise. Your pictures are exciting, revealing you to be an engaging, interactive worker.
Your copy is pretty good, and does a good job of speaking to your prospect about what's in it for them to hire you. There's good credibility elements, such as the mention of the companies you've worked for, establishing you as a professonial. The only glaring discrepancy from my perspective (as a copywriter) is the absence of an "offer" or any type of close. You have a throw away line at the bottom of one of your pages offering to send a Free Brochure. I would expand that somewhat and highlight the fact that you ARE willing to send a prospective client something FREE (everybody's favorite word). Plus I would suggest some mention of price, even if it's only a "range" of prices, and include some form of price justification to make your fee seem insignificant. But overall, good job! Oscar |

Thanks Oscar. It is my personal view not to have prices on a website. As a close up worker my performances are too varied. What is a lot of money for some people, is nothing to others. I want to appeal to all budgets, and with a price on my website, I think I will lose 50% of people straight away for being either too cheap, or too expensive.
I like the idea of offers though - I'll put my mind to work and try to come up with something! Thanks too Ade, I hear what you're saying about dull, for me it looks a bit template-ish, and I'm playing around with new ideas. |

You may add a title front page (just a big picture of yourself with the most confident look) with all sub page button on top / at the bottom.
The font and indent of the information can be in a more professional way. Besides, throw a free brochure can be done by a auto-reply PDF thing (if you know what I mean) Using me.com as a web page builder is already a better thing, I can still see a lot of bad magician's personal page via the recent close down of geocities, etc. It just like make up an act, afterall, the web page equals to a presentation of yourself.
