It's more like your plumbing, it goes to the sewage plant then eventually to the lake.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

For those who don't know Larry's work, he's a comedian and was a writer on the Bernie Mac Show. Magic lovers may have read his "Red Hot Brother" in a magic magazine from earlier this year(Genii Magic March 2009).

Larry Wilmore rocks. He talked to us about the routine in depth, Jon Stewart's initial reaction and magic at the Democratic National Convention in this podcast.
I've watched The Daily Show near religiously for the last five or six years, and have always loved Wilmore's routines. They are right up there with Colbert's Week in God segments (back when he was on the show). So, for me, the most impressive thing about this interview is that I didn't go into full geek mode and start sounding like that Chris Farley character from SNL. "You were in the Beatles? Bet that was cool." That was totally me. So, when I saw Wilmore bust out cards, then perform solid sleight of hand, I was in heaven. You can tell that even though he's not a regular performing magician, he is a magician at heart. He knows his workers.
