Does anyone have this book that can comment on the quality or give a brief review?

If you have any interest at all in thimble magic, I'd recommend this book. Some of the effects do require some serious practice.

Small manipulative magic has always been very high on my list so I'll definitely check it out. And what good sleight isn't worth some serious practice. Thanks for the info

I always considered "thimble magic" to be some sort of magician's punch line. The graphic at the beginning of Rune Klan's book didn't help. But when a dealer was practically giving away his last copies of "Digital Effects," I went ahead and made the purchase. What a great book. It's funny, it's clear and well written with painstakingly precise illustrations - pretty much everything you could hope for from a book on manipulative magic. Actually, the inspiration to make the purchase was Shoot Ogawa's double DVD on his wand routine, which included some serious thimble magic as a bonus. I have some of Mogar's thimbles on order (according to the book, it's important to get the right kind), and am looking forward to working with Beam's excellent book to build a fun thimble routine.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

If you're going to EVER perform thimble manipulations Mogar's Thimbles are THE WAY TO GO. I made a living working street performance for a long time using just his thimbles and knives. (Although it made for an interesting conversation when stopped by a police officer and asked to turn out my pockets...) Mogar's book is a must read!
