My partner and I had the great priviledge to present a program at a kids camp Sunday past. The devil tried to mess it up in a lot of ways.
First I never got a contract back, even after a phone call and sending out a second one. But I thought “Hey, God is my provider and if I’m working for him he will take care of me". So we went without the contract. The show was at/on a college campus over 120 miles from home. It rained very hard most of the trip and traffic was terrible. We got there about 20 minutes before starting time only to find the show pushed back 1 hour and not in the room we were told about. There was no sound system, mics, or CD player as required in the contract and confirmed in conversation. We were able to rustle up a boombox to play the music and I just talked louder. The contact person was very frazzled but very accommodating, even though he felt the battle was being lost. We setup, prayed, and waited for showtime, finally the kids showed up and we got to work. Johnny opened and the kids were very receptive. He has only worked in front of a crowd a few times, and he gets better each time. He did about 12 minutes then introduced me. I did my usual 45 minute Gospel show. It lasted nearly 1 hour, after which I gave an altar call and about 40 young people came forward. Praise God, The devil had been defeated! I say this to encourage you to keep the faith. It is amazing to watch how God uses magic to reach people. And I got paid. God is so faithful. |

Thanks for the report Shadow!
Your trust was well placed! Our God is an awesome God! And I love to hear of the victories! 40 young souls snatched from indifference and/or the devil! Man that is a real Victory! Johnny is really coming along as a magician. And you have to love his sincere heart to serve God! I saw some of the new items he is building Saturday, and they are first class too. Sometimes I wonder why we fail to trust, when He never fails to provide. Thanks for trusting and giving the report! For those of you who don't know Shadow, he is a fine Stage Magician who always provides a terrifically entertaining show, with a great message woven throughout, and he is absolutely faithful in giving the invitation! Whether he is driving the bus to pick up the kids on Sunday Morning, or on stage perfoming, he is a joy to watch work! But tell me this Shadow.... If your usual 45 minute show always takes an hour, why do you still call it a 45 minute show? Thanks again for the Great report Friend! BroDavid

Shadow. That is wonderful encouragement for all who use this amazing art to lead people to the Lord.
You said, "I say this to encourage you to keep the faith." Well your story is a great example of not only KEEPING the faith, but passing it around!

David. It normally takes 45 minutes but the power of God always seems to add the other 15. Thanks for the kind words to both David and Doug. What a great pleasure it is to serve God in this way.
