Well some of you know there is this new thing called King Rising. I have played around with it and did not much like it. But I want to know what every one thinks about it?

I have heard mixed reviews about Kings Rising and have never used it myself...
The Balducci levitation is not bad when combined with a little creativity to hide the technique's short coming's. Get the Elevator if you want a cool levitation. I am purchasing one next week sometime. I have done my research and this IS the best so far... Houdini 10-31-26 |

I usually use the balducci. I have yet to find a levitation that I really like.

To have a better illusion, I think King Rising is better. The angle is better and more visible and better...

Get the Elevator. It is the best one out there now. I prefer the Balducci over King Rising.

ellusionist.com has a street magic video, that among other thing shows King Rising. Has anyone got this video and is it worth it?

Grrrrr. I'm torn. King Rising is a much better effect because you see both feet go up, front to back, but I don't like the get ready for it. As for the Balducci, since it has been exposed, I have had trouble finding people who haven't seen that show! GAH! It only aired once or twice and I have had the rotten luck to find 99.99% of the viewing crowd of it. *sigh*
I don't know the secret behind the Elevator, but I support it none the less. I can't figure it out from watching the video (maybe a part of me just wants to believe in real magic). - Alex

King Rising is great for me (I use a jacket). I hate the get ready also... it's annoying.

Balducci works for me, but seems that elevator looks like real magic. You should check it out.

As for me I feel that the Elevator is much better than any of the other levitation tools. It is clean in certain ways. Not much cover required. This works the best for me.

Balducci for sure. It's just the most impromptu levitation out there. Although it's true that laymen may be aware of the method more so than any other levitation, I still get good reactions when I perform it (perhaps I'm fortunate enough to find individuals that either did not catch that exposure special, forgot it entirely, or do not watch TV altogether). Either way, my vote goes to the Balducci levitation.

No, I had (without knowing) figured out the KR while watching the preview I was gutted when I paid for what I already knew. All I got really was presentation. It's good, but not that good and a lot more risky than the Balducci. I might get an Elevator but I'm not sure on the setup. I am yet to see a good preview for it.

IMHO, KR looks better than balducci and of course the angles are a little bit better. However, you are not left clean after performing, unless you have a jacket. Personally I would only perform KR if I bring a jacket along. IF not balducci all the way!!

I prefer KR. This is a good trick to do when you want attention. HEY LOOK EVERYONE I CAN FLOAT!

I like performing the Balducci levitation, rather than King Rising. I don't feel comfortable performing KR because you cannot see what the other person is seeing. So, you don't know if you are in a good position or bad. But I definitely think that King Rising has a much better effect on the people. I've noticed more people enjoy KR better.

But the angles are worse for balducci

The angles are worse with Balbucci but I prefer it, very easy to perform, always ready, for me king rising is a bit to complicated for the setup and cleaning. The Elevator seems cool, but I think I guessed how it's done, it's not the perfect levitation for me. What I'd like is a balbucci levitation with better angles but as easy to do (no set up, no clean up)
Perhaps someday I will find it |

King Rising is more visual and spectators can SEE you levitate off the ground (BOTH FEET) But with Balducci, there is no misdirection used and King's Rising does and can mess the trick up.
