This is Walter Blaney's Ladder Levitation...it goes far beyond a standard Super-X.
It's all in the reflexes.

I want to see this whole performance. Does anyone know where I can view it? I've seen various clips and it just looks so fun. Thanks.

That is from DC's China special where he walked through the Great Wall. Late 80's I believe.

I liked that performance much better than the one I saw Lance Burton do on the tonight show.

The effect is available at Walter Blaney's web site: http://www.walterblaney.com/illusions/ladderlevi.html
For about $11,000 this can be part of your act (about $16,000 if you add the miracle hoop and ATA cases)... It is truly a sweet one person illusion. If you go to Walter's site, you can see Walter, David and Lance each giving the effect their twist.
Yes, I am a magician. No I did not make my hare (hair) disappear... it just took early retirement.

I watched Lance Burton do this on the Tonight Show. And I think he farted during the act! LOL

Trey, that made me laugh. This is one expensive effect.

Very pretty, but I'd rather buy a car for 16k if I'm not David or Lance.

It does keep the casual from buying it just to learn the secret. I hope Walter has made a fair profit from this effect. It is a beauty...
