Hi guys,
I'm not a beginner, but I suppose the concept of a chop cup has passed me up somehow. Could some kind soul give me a synopsis of what a chop cup is? Thanks Michael |

I guess the chop cup routine is similar to cups and balls, but only one cup, a few balls and a final load......that's very basic but you have the idea.....I think.

Thank you obsidian. That rings no bells at all, so I guess it really is a foreign concept to me. Can anyone confirm this?

Don't sell it short. There are many one cup routines that go far beyond what "Comes in the box", and many alternative Cups that can be used.
My renouned "FoldCup" is made by folding a torn magazine page with paper wad balls, and you can do a 20 minute routine with moves not possible with a standard Chop Cup. No gaff either. So, "Chop Cup" is a concept as well as a popular effect. Also see the eBooks ChopSign and ChopAway and ScoutCup.
